Primary School Class Teachers 2022

Cairns Hinterland Steiner School is seeking experienced Steiner Primary School Class Teachers for 2022.

We are an independent school situated in Kuranda offering Kindergarten to Class 10.  We are co-educational and non-denominational school delivering the nationally accredited Steiner curriculum based on the educational insights of Rudolf Steiner.

We aim to support each individual child, with an understanding of their stage in childhood development and with this understanding, we encourage each child's unique gifts and emerging potentials to unfold in a nurturing, imaginative and guided environment.  We aim to create a place where goodness, beauty and truth permeate the pedagogical, physical, and social fabric.

Casual Relief Teachers 2021

Cairns Hinterland Steiner School is seeking casual teachers to relieve in Classes 1 and up.

You are expected to work in close cooperation with colleagues as part of the College of Teachers and under guidance from the school’s values, policies and procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across our small School using the integrated approach and curriculum of Steiner education.

High School Teachers – All Disciplines

Cairns Hinterland Steiner School is seeking experienced high school teachers from all disciplines.

Currently our high school delivers the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework for Class 8 and 9s and the Certificate of Steiner Education for the Class 10s.  As the School continues to grow, it is the School’s aspiration that our specialist high school teachers will be able to extend into Class 11 and 12.

We embrace a phenomenological / experiential approach to learning which maintains curiosity and creativity. We aim to support each individual, with an understanding of their stage in adolescent development and with this understanding, we encourage each adolescent's unique gifts and emerging potentials to become an adult who knows who they are and that they have a place in the world.
